Lifetime Warranty

We are proud to provide a lifetime warranty on each and every one of our pieces, so you can rest assured that we will lovingly care for your Luxstar Jewels Fine Jewelry whenever it needs servicing. We stand by our work and will repair your jewelry whenever it needs repairing for as long as you own it. Additionally, you can send your jewelry to us at any time for a free thorough cleaning and inspection to ensure it is sparkling beautifully and in top shape.

There are a few limitations to our warranty:

  • Lost Center/Focal Stones: Our warranty does not include the replacement of lost center/focal stones. We recommend obtaining insurance for your piece in the unlikely event of a focal stone falling out or getting damaged.
  • One-of-a-Kind Stones: Many of our pieces feature one-of-a-kind stones. If these stones become damaged, we will do our best to replace them with a comparable stone, but color and type may vary depending on what we have available.
  • Shipping Costs: Clients are responsible for shipping costs (to and from our studio) for cleanings, inspections, and repair work. Please note that clients are also responsible for import fees and customs charges in addition to shipping costs. Please check with your customs office about any fees that may be associated with having us repair your piece.
  • Repair Fees: All repair work is free within the first two years of ownership (except the replacement of focal stones). After two years of ownership, we will charge a small labor fee and/or materials fee for your repair service. If there is physical damage to your jewelry, there will be a minimal charge based on the extent of the damage. However, if the damage is due to manufacturing issues, there will be no charge under the lifetime warranty.

Please note that repairs or polishing done by third-party jewelers will void the warranty.

Our highly skilled repair specialist will evaluate your piece and stay in open communication with you about the work that’s needed and any associated costs.

Returns & Refunds

Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your order, please inform us within 24 hours of placing it. Since we begin processing orders immediately, cancellations after this period will incur a 20% fee to cover labor and restocking costs.

This fee compensates for the time and effort already dedicated to your order. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Returns & Exchanges

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Since our designs are handcrafted, all returns will incur a 20% restocking fee. This fee covers the labour required to resize and polish the returned piece. If the returned piece requires extensive cleaning or repair (or is in any other condition that prevents resale), we will charge a higher restocking fee, depending on the amount of repair work that’s required.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged or if you received the wrong item so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

The following items can't be returned or exchanges

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, we can't accept returns or exchanges for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Eternity Bands made to order
  • Items on Sale
  • Items Purchased During a Sales Event
If a customer wishes to exchange their ring, a restocking fee of 20% will be deducted from the original purchase amount. The remaining balance will be applied towards the new purchase. Any price difference for the exchange will also be charged to the customer. This exchange policy must be initiated within 30 days of receiving the ring and is limited to one exchange per piece. The credit does not apply to future purchases, and the credit is limited to one exchange per piece.

Please contact us before you send your jewelry back, so we can be sure it arrives safely. Clients are responsible for return shipping costs, and we highly recommend that you insure your package and send it in a traceable courier—we are not responsible for items lost in the mail.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Resizing

At Luxstar Jewels, we understand the importance of a perfect fit when it comes to your jewelry, especially rings. Therefore, we offer a ring resizing service to ensure that your jewelry fits you comfortably and beautifully.

Resizing Limitations:

  • Rings can be resized to either increase or decrease by a maximum of one full size.

  • Please note that resizing beyond this range may compromise the integrity and aesthetics of the piece, and therefore, cannot be accommodated under this policy.
Exceptions:
  • In the case where the ring features a shank adorned with full eternity stones, resizing becomes unfeasible due to the intricate design and setting. Hence, we are unable to proceed with resizing in such instances.

  • Customers with rings falling under this category are encouraged to exchange the ring for the correct size. Our customer service team will be delighted to assist you in this process.
In some cases, we may simply exchange the original ring for an identical ring in your size instead of resizing. Why? If either a) it would result in a faster turnaround time, or b) if the integrity of the design would be affected. An exchange would only apply to bands that are plain gold and don’t feature any stones. And like all of our pieces, the swapped ring would be handcrafted from scratch. Of course, we’ll always contact you if we’d recommend that route.

  • After that, we’ll immediately get started on any work that’s covered under the warranty (without bugging you for approval). That may include the following:
    - Replacing or resetting stones
    - Replacing the setting
    - Prong work or replacement
    - Replacing thinner areas of the band
    - Resizing the ring
  • Please let us know before you send us your piece if 1) you don’t want us to do any or part of the above warranty-related work, or 2) you’d prefer to review and approve the scope of the work before we get started.

  • If work needs to be done that goes beyond what the warranty covers, we’ll let you know. You’ll have the ability to opt out of those repairs at that point if you want.

  • Clients are responsible for shipping costs both ways.

  • Our current timeline for repairs is 2-3 weeks from the time we receive your piece.

  • NOTE: If your piece needs a new stone, we can’t guarantee the replacement of limited-edition or one-of-a-kind stones. In the rare case that the exact stone isn’t available, we’ll follow up with you and get your approval on an alternative that matches.

Jewelry Care Instructions

1. Regular Cleaning:

  • Clean your moissanite jewelry regularly to maintain its brilliance. Use a mild soap and warm water solution, gently scrubbing with a soft toothbrush to remove any dirt or oils.

2. Avoid Harsh Chemicals:

  • Keep your jewelry away from harsh chemicals such as bleach, ammonia, or chlorine, as they can damage the metal settings and diminish the gemstone's shine.

3. Safe Storage:

  • Store your moissanite pieces separately in a soft cloth pouch or lined jewelry box to prevent scratches from other jewelry.

4. Professional Maintenance:

  • Have your jewelry professionally inspected and cleaned at least once a year to ensure the settings are secure and the gemstone remains in top condition.

5. Limit Exposure:

  • Remove your moissanite jewelry during activities that could expose it to physical damage or chemicals, such as swimming, gardening, or cleaning.

6. Ultrasonic Cleaners:

  • While moissanite is durable, it's best to consult with a jeweler before using ultrasonic cleaners, especially if your piece has delicate or antique settings.

How is Moissanite Created?

Natural moissanite occurs when a meteor hits the Earth. Intense impact, heat, and pressure of this event creates moissanite. Because this doesn’t happen too often (phew!) and natural moissanite lacks quality in both color and clarity, all of our moissanite is lab-created to deliver the most beautiful stones possible with sustainability and control in mind. 

How Does Moissanite Compare To a Diamond?

Even though they share many optical similarities, moissanite is chemically and compositionally different from a both natural and lab-created diamonds. Moissanite has a higher refractive index, and it also differs in terms of hardness. Diamonds are measured at a 10 on the Mohs scale of hardness while moissanite comes in at a 9.25 9.5.

Moissanite is completely suitable for everyday wear, and their color grade and sparkle are made to last. Moissanite is also completely conflict-free and eco-friendly, unlike the majority of diamonds! We believe love should never start with someone else’s suffering – period.
